Validated member of CTPAT

Brauner International is a certified and validated member of CTPAT, the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. Validation is not automatic. It means CBP has reviewed and verified our security practices on site.

For importers, working with a CTPAT partner means faster processing, fewer exams, and priority treatment when disruptions hit. As enforcement tightens and more scrutiny falls on non-resident importers, trusted-trade standing is shifting from a nice-to-have toward a requirement. We help importers understand where CTPAT fits in their own compliance picture.

CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) is a voluntary supply-chain security program run by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Members partner with CBP to strengthen the security of their international supply chains, and in return receive trade-facilitation benefits. It’s one of CBP’s “trusted trader” programs.

Members must meet CBP’s Minimum Security Criteria (MSC), which are tailored to your business type. They cover areas such as physical security and access controls, personnel security, procedural security, container and conveyance integrity, seals, information/cybersecurity, and security training and threat awareness.

Members typically see fewer CBP examinations, front-of-line and expedited processing when inspections do occur, and faster clearance, which reduces the risk and cost of unexpected delays. Each member is also assigned a CBP Supply Chain Security Specialist at no charge, and members gain eligibility for other programs and mutual-recognition arrangements with partner customs administrations abroad.

No. It’s not a guarantee against inspection. CTPAT members are scored for lower risk, so they’re examined less often and moved to the front of the line when an exam is needed, but CBP retains full authority to inspect any shipment.
